WOW! That is the best word I can find to describe this episode. I have watched every single episode of True Blood multiple times, and I am struggling to find an episode better than this one. Episode one left us with a few unanswered questions, but episode two wasted no time in clearing those up. We all wondered how Bill became the King of Louisiana. They made their explanation very clear.
Still not sure about what Bill's "deal" is, but we are finding out a little more each week. We found out that he has been a part of the AVL (American Vampire League) for years now. His connections with Nan Flanagan has led to him becoming king, as she helped him destroy former Queen of Louisiana Sophie Anne. Something tells me that there is a lot more to find out about Bill however.

New Shifter Luna and Sam
|
Sam at the end of last season was out of control. He seems to be in better shape now that he has befriended a new group of shape shifters. The most interesting of these shifters is Luna. Luna is a new character on the show and she has already revealed some interesting news. She admits that she has actually "shifted" into a human being. I'm not sure what role this will play in this season, but I'm sure it will in some fashion.

| Marnie |
When Bill is told by one of his spies that there are now witches in town, he sends Eric out to investigate the matter. The main witch, Marnie has already brought back a bird from the dead. Her next goal was to bring back a human being. Vampires are intimidated by witches because they can control the dead, which causes a threat to them. When Eric goes to where they are attempting to revive a dead body he attacks Marnie. The rest of the people there began some sort of chant which leaves Eric under a spell. The spell seems to make Eric unaware of who he is, and makes him seem vulnerable. I'll be interested to see what comes out of this situation.
Nothing major with Sookie this week. She continues to live in the house despite Eric being the owner. In Jason news, he is last seen being eaten by panthers. Crystal wants to keep the "bloodline" going, so she and another family member/boyfriend are last seen attempting to turn Jason into a panther.
Great episode this week. I admit like many of us I did see this one earlier than the actual premiere, so I couldn't wait to write about it. Please leave your thoughts. I also want to get your predictions about what you think will happen next. Great start to this season!

Sookie better wise up because Eric about to go Thanksgiving on her sweet sookie a**. Bill frontin' too. Oh and Luna is definitely a person I will be looming out for. Yessir!
I actually think Eric means well and Bill is the shady one, but we'll see.
I watched Episode 2 a week early (onDemand) so I'm itching for a new episode. But this episode really did answer a lot of our questions. I mean, Eric is my fav guy and it looks like Marnie is gonna have him WIDE open (looking at the preview for next week. But I hope she's not successful at turning him back, because I like him all vampired-out. He probably was a corny human.
I thought I liked Bill, but he seems to be the new bad guy. I wouldnt be surprised if Nan Flanagan have him killed off at the end of the season, for knowing whats up with Sookie.
And poor Eric. He's not the smartest, but I;m no huge fan of those wolves. Well maybe the cute one that hangs with Sookie from time to time.
I meant to say Poor Jason.
The Episode was dope! Bill grimmy as hell, and a snitch... My man Jason is all hemmed up. Should have never trusted that Panther chick and her crazy @ss family.
I think Luna is one to watch. Something is up with that chick..... Oh and Eric was shook with those witches lol. He peeled out quick!
Can't wait (Bart Scott voice) to next week. I will wait the whole week and not cheat and watch on the net.
Good breakdown of the 2nd episode
I have never seen Eric scared of anyone not even Russell. He respected Russell's power, but he wasn't scared. This witch has him rattled. Jason is too dumb for his own good, maybe being a panther may help him. Lol Jessica is going to be a serious problem really soon. She is like a bad teenager.
Great breakdown of Episode Two and great comments.. Marnie is going to be crazy this season! Her demeanor is hilarious.. After she put whatever spell on Eric, she comes out of the trance confused and says, "Where'd he go? Did he leave?" I found that very amusing.. Not happy to see Eric looking all vulnerable though.. He is usually cool, calm, and confident.. She left him like a puppy with his tail in between his legs..
I knew something would happen to Jason- he's so naive. He's gotten this far with nothing too crazy happening to him so it's about time for him to get in on some action. Crystal was trouble from day one but he chose to keep her around.
Luna's ability to shift into a human seems pretty cool. I hope to see some of that in the season somewhere (for good of course!).
I can't trust Bill like I used to.. I agree with Kellz- I'm sure something will come out to Nan Flanagan on what he really knows about Sookie.. That was risky on his part.
All in all, Episode Two was awesome. Looking forward to a great TB season!
Great comments by all and good re cap. Soooo hear is my 2 cents. I think that Jason was a very simple character and this had happen at some point. Surprised it didnt happen sooner. Apparantly everyone has some special talents, so why not have him be a ware-panther.
I just wonder now what powers will Tara take on other than running from who she really is and switching to the other team. hmmmm*shrugs*
It seems that Bill is not to be trusted period. Never did... once all was revealed last season, sorry to say but will not be sad to see him meet the true death.
Eric my poor poor Eric... I was actually expecting to see Godric show up in Marnie, but the person seemed like maybe it was his mom or an old lover. We'll see how it unravels. I am worried that he may not be around much longer either.
He is my fav of the vampire crew.
Oh and by the by that baby of Arlene's may as well be Rose Mary's baby. He's something bad and nothing good can come of him. Maybe they can exorcise the demon!! Lol . Can't wait for the next ep & blog post.
I agree. This was a great episode and can't wait to see next weeks. Great breakdown of the episode to some up what you think. I wonder if Luna's form is really her or has she shifted into someone else making everyone else think it's her.
